The fact that the msm. journos are avoiding it like the plague gives more than hint to it’s depth of corruption..AND..their skulking away to protect their own worthless hides!..Hopeless, Gutless and Useless.
Say what you like about Foxtel, but I’ve never seen Sky News have their connection drop out in the middle of Labor speeches and pressers while remaining steady for Coalition ones. There have been very rare times when something has gone wrong with their link, but they have apologised and picked up where they left off, if possible.
I learnt long ago that it is far better to watch live political stuff, including QT, on Sky simply because you know you will get it all.
” Say what you like about Foxtel,…” :..Foxtel sucks!

Lest we forget…: Never forget! Never forgive!
The Meaning of Treason…
In the closing days of the second world war, the name “Lord Haw Haw” was synonymous with the cry of traitor ! Because a traitor in those days was seen as a clear-cut thing…in fact, as quoted from Rebecca West ; “The Meaning of Treason”, Penguin 1965 : “…by broadcasting between ‘… the eighteenth day of September 1939 and on other divers days thereafter, and between that day and the second day of July 1940, being then to wit, on the said several days, a person owing allegence to our Lord the King…’ It was in fact the case for the prosecution that a person obtaining a passport placed himself thereby under the protection of the crown and owed it allegence until the passport expired.”…a clear case of loyalty to the crown..ie. ; His Majesty ;The King.
These days, the allegence of loyalty is somewhat more beige. Today’s democracies lean more toward public perception and cultural dominance for a definition of loyalty. But it must be admitted that to work hand in hand in a brazen manner to both bring-down the democratically elected govt’ of the day AND then to work to get elected a “favourite” of the vested interests, by obfuscation, stealth and deliberate slander, that would have intent to demolish national infrastructure and work against the social equality of the peoples of the nation….well, THAT has to have some definition of treason.
For in my mind there is no doubt that we, as a nation, have been betrayed. Those many “national interest” policies..: The NBN. Gonski, NDIS, ETS (scheme), Environmental Protection and National Parks that ARE in the national interest and coupled with a NOW recognised “Non emergency with the budget” are at risk and indeed in some cases WILL be dismantled for no other reason than to satisfy vested or financial interests….not soley out of a twisted ideology, but certainly out of sheer insatiable greed.
This is the act of treason against the nations interest. To destroy national infrastructure and public policy that benefits a majority of citizens and gives financial reward to a extreme minority of capital invested players….in short…Judas gets his thirty pieces of silver. THAT was HIS treason..in every sense of the word and meaning. the fact that those modern major players are set to gain many billions of dollars through an act of vandalism against the nation..THAT is THEIR treason…in every sense of the word.
But the govt’ was voted in by over half the population we hear?…that is correct…but we are also aware, and NO lame explanations can deny it, that a vast percentage of that section of the voting public are neither politically astute nor very interested in political outcomes other than a strange “payback” for Main-Stream-Media trumped-up delusions of injury…and then there are those who would sell their own mother into slavery for a couple of quid. Whatever it was that swayed the voters, it certainly was assisted by sometimes outright lies and slanderous accusations against the sitting govt’ in the MSM.
It is the political players in collusion with big media and big business that has done the most damage…Particularly the Main-Stream Media. We know their names, we have railed against them here and elsewhere on their perfidious behaviour..and they continue to obfuscate and manipulate….out of either self-interest, financial gain or a perceived political future too obscure for us mere mortals to comprehend….but must involve a good deal of crawling!..and only now are we reading of the vast number and scope of the rorts carried on by the then opposition ; now govt’..why was this common information withheld when several members of parliament and even the speaker of the house goaded to resign and were villified for lesser amounts? There can only be one real reason.
This govt’ was voted in on a base of fraud and deception manipulated upon the people by the mainstream media and it’s employees. there is no contesting this fact. their so-called policies were unexamined, uncontested and unopposed by that very estate that sanctimoniously holds itself up as the forth estate of democracy…indeed, it continues right to this day to set the agenda for govt’ policy…even with this recent trip to Indonesia and Asia by the PM., we read that it was a roaring success!…not because of what was achieved ( there was more given away! ), but because we were told so by the forth estate media!…..the lie is maintained, the circle is complete!
I have an interesting book titled : “The Meaning of Treason” by Rebecca West. written after the 2nd.ww. up to 1963. she makes some very interesting observations . I will quote a couple of passages for interest on how the modern media has played it’s part in the dissemination of propaganda.
“Never before have people known the voice of one they had never seen as well as if he had been a husband or brother or a close friend ; and had they forseen such a miracle they could not have imagined that this familiar unknown would speak to them only to prophesy their death and ruin.”…..She speaks of William Joyce (Lord Haw Haw). she continues…”…He was not only alarming, he was ugly. He opened a vista into a mean life. He always spoke as if he were better fed, and better clothed than we were…”
The above portrayal is an example of the malicious persuasion that manipulates a people…a people hungry for simplicity of policy, for entertainment, contentment and insulation from the harsh realities of the world on their doorstep….it is the propaganda style of those who have in many cases helped cause those very distasters that bring trouble to our doorstep, or are trying to stop progams that could aleviate and soften such events in the future . Such people give voice to a meaness of spirit and ugliness of heart and opens the door to cruel intent….THAT is a betrayal of the trust given to the Main Stream Media, a trust that was bestowed upon those called to shine a light on duplicitous behaviour that can ruin a society, NOT to collude with reckless abandon in that very behaviour..
I give the last words on such a tawdry subject to Ariel Gonzales on Rebecca West’s book ; ” The Meaning of Treason reminds us that sometimes the worst betrayal is the trading of values for the illusion of safety.”
THAT is the meaning of treason!
Didn’t The Messiah tell the party faithful not so long ago that the Liberal Party was not ruled by factions? Looks like he was lying. Who would have thought St Malcolm the Chosen One would tell lies?
Polls have now closed in Taiwan’s presidential and legislative elections where the Democratic Progressive Party and their candidate Tsai Ing-wen are expected to win.

“Saffron The Brave”.
The last of the old hens passed away today..That just leaves two of the young ones left..I made a note to buy another two soon, while I went to get the long-handled shovel to bury the old girl..I did the deed in the “Domestic Cemetery” where we bury all the lovely creatures that pass through our lives, left to while away their time in eternity under the sighing boughs of mallee trees.
While I placed a piece of iron and some heavy rocks over “Caroline’s” grave, I couldn’t but notice just nearby the final resting place of Saffron..called “The Brave”. Saffron was a male ginger tabby of stupendous build, desexed, yes, but he failed to notice that and he kept the verandah of our old residence at Meadows clear of stray cats and toms for many a year. Many a morning we would find him asleep in his bed , tired and battered but not beaten from the nights patrols..brave Saffron.
When we moved out here to the mallee, he was already past his prime and the area being so much bigger to patrol, he relinquished his authority to the several feral cats that controlled the old property. Fortunately, one by one the ferals disappeared and in the end we had only Saffron and his tortoise-shell long-hair sister to keep us company. Till one night, while engrossed in an episode of “Foyle’s War”, a scratching sound was heard on the fly-wire screen door..There , elusive and emaciated was a tiny black cat with a tip of white on it’s chest and tail.
When we gained her confidence and she joined our little troupe here , we called her “Alice”..a tiny little thing, she immediately attached herself to Saffron as his shadow, and on his part, he gladly took her under his wing and would set about “training” her in the cat-arts of stalking, leaping and gnashing required of a good mouser. I would sometimes catch them at their “lessons”..Saffron would move to an object, give it some vigorous strikes with his paw, then move away a tad and sit sternly observing while Alice went to the same object and repeated the action shown by her mentor.
In this way over the months Saffron and Alice became an inseparable pair..if Saffron was there, little Alice was sure not to be far behind. The one thing Saffron couldn’t help Alice with was her strange tail..unlike the usual cat’s tail, that stood straight up when aroused or active, Alice’s was like a stiff rod from her behind right along parallel to her back so the tip would nearly touch the back of her head..she would sometimes suddenly spot the tail there and try to spin around to grab it..it made for a humourous sight !
Unfortunately, Saffron wasn’t getting any younger and a bad kidney complaint laid him low..He was ill for some time and even the vet had shaken his head sadly in his prognosis..all we could do was make him as comfortable as possible while he saw out his last days..it was touching to see little Alice cautiously approach Saffron’s cat-bed, sniff at his nose and even give him a cautious “nudge” with her paw..perhaps it wasn’t really a nudge, but I like to think it was.
We buried Saffron in the “Cemetery” alongside “Cindy’s” foal that died soon after birth..On a broad piece of iron held down by a border of rocks, I printed the words : “Saffron The Brave”..and we said goodbye to a prince of cats.
Alice was all at sea after the passing of her mentor..Saffron had never really completed her “education” and she was clumsy and naïve at her job…It wasn’t much longer that this lack of knowledge got her into a fatal situation with a snake. She didn’t live long after the bite, as tiny as she was I suppose she just didn’t have the build to withstand the poison…I had her on my lap as she passed away, her little body just going limp and her head drooping over my knee.
I buried her next to her mentor and scrawled “Here lies Alice” on the sheet of iron over grave. The one thing that didn’t alter when she died was her tail…still stretched along her back , I left it so when I buried her there.
Oh well…I suppose I’ll have to give Cooper’s a ring and see if he’s got a couple of chooks for when I next go past.
Jaycee,
Hic jacet . . .
And thank you.
Truffles is a worse than Abbott. Tones beats Truffles because he was honest enough to be true to his inner Mad Monkness . Truffles will definitely cost the country more than Abbott just in what the NBN drag on the economy and eventual upgrade will cost.

No matter what St Malcayman does the Monkey Pod mob leap into the media to protest.
Now it’s the Gay Mardi Gras. Turnbull has been before. It’s held in his electorate, an electorate that also includes Sydney’s gay centre. So what’s wrong with Turnbull showing up? Nothing. Unless you are one of the monkey boys and want to get a bit more anti-Mal criticism into the papers. Looks like The Chosen One has already arranged to be out of town on the big day anyway. So VERY convenient.

So the Wee Jock punter is being told it’s all down to the ‘English’ that the Scottish Government is not going to build a whole 47 miles of high speed train line between Edinburgh Waverley and some railway station in the Glasgow eastern suburbs ie not even to Glasgow Central station.
Current planning for the ‘English’ HS2, paid for solely by the ‘English’, only covers the building of the HS2 line from London to Manchester and Leeds as the economic benefit to England ends there.
If such a thing was to be done the logical place to start would be Manchester then up the west coast to Glasgow Central – 220 miles approx of line ie further than London to Manchester.
The Scots would just ‘love’ the ‘English’ to pay for this as Scotland would derive virtually all of the benefit. To have freight moved via heavy fast rail to the English S-E would provide a huge boon to Scottish manufacturing industry.
And the sole contribution offered by the Scottish/SNP is to maybe build 47 miles of track inside Scotland.
They’re ‘dreaming.
But it’s all the fault of the ‘English’ …
I remember having a twitter fight with a Scot’ National proud that they had voted Cameron in by denying the Labour Party the Scottish vote…
“Yeah, right!” I remember saying (wtte) ” So now you better go bandage that foot before you bleed to death”.
“But now we got an independent voice for Scotland !” he yelled ..
I suppose he was talking about that short-lived deal the Tories made with the Scottish voter for bigger representation in the English Parliament…Jeezus!!..don’t these voters read ANY history?
Curious to see the report about the Greens Rep being hassled on arrival at LAX. I first went to the US on a work trip in about 1974, and despite having an “Official” passport, one step back from a Diplomatic P/P I was given a real going over by some ignorant red neck at SFO who seemed convinced that I would become an illegal immigrant. The fact that he couldn’t understand my accent or common Aust idiom both further enraged and convinced him. This was well before Aussies became fashionable in USA. He threatened to lock me up overnight and put me on a return flight, I then threatened him that I would contact the Aus Consul in SFO who would contact the head of US Customs or Immigration whichever this clown belonged to and kick off an almighty bureaucratic stink which he would lose.
Eventually he had to let me go and reluctantly shook my hand and welcomed me on my business in USA. His parting comment to me was “foreigners are always trying to come to America, its the greatest country in the world!”, to which I replied ungraciously “not if you are in it!”.
He’s ba-ack

Saw a Farkwit commentator on Sky (?) making all sort of claims about how soft the German police had been “ordered” to be on AS. Said despite the translated piece from the Cherman police merely expressing the need for sensitivity in handling AS and the issue of inflaming RW groups.
Would love to ask to idiot if he could think of a reason why Germans may be particularly careful about inflaming racial tensions and RW groups.
