The Winter of our Discontent

I won’t continue with the calumny that Mr Shakespeare then hurled at Richard III (yes, I am a HUGE fan of Josephine Tey’s analysis of the blackening of poor Richard’s name in her wonderful book The Daughter of Time), but it is truly apposite given the way that the msm has turned turtle and everything bad is new again – especially when it comes to pouring ever more shit onto Labor.

Like most (if not all) Pubsters, I am both shocked by the election result, and truly horrified by the media’s response to it.

Never mind, my friends, while The Pub and each Pubster and Lurker lives, we are all tiny candles burning in the wind, keeping the flame of hope alive.

Meanwhile, shall nick out and give Madame La Guillotine another grease, oil change, and honing.

Election 2019

Well Pubsters here we go. After many tears and years we have finally arrived at Election time. 2019. Contrary to polls for years this will be a close and nail biting time .

The bookies are all saying Labor are a shoe in and in my experience and to my bank balance are very rarely wrong

All starts from now on and updates  will continue .

Lets have fun and hopefully celebrate a labor victory on Sunday Morning.

With The Boss’s kind permission, I am adding links to Gippsland Laborite’s and Vote 1 Julia’s analyses here, in case anyone wants to refer to them.

2019 Federal Election: Climate Change and the Rise of Independents & Minor Parties

Longtime Pubster Vote1Julia is the author of this thread, which is complementary to Gippsland Laborite’s series, focusing as it does on minor party/independent candidates who pose a serious threat to sitting MPs. Thank you, V1J, and I hope your health continues to improve.

The number one issue in this election is Climate Change. This will be the undoing of the COALition ending in a landslide defeat. I believe that the most distinguishing result of this election will be the rise of Independents and Minor Parties in the once held safe conservative seats both in the country and the city.

I have compiled a Table listing the seats where the Independents and Minor Parties are in serious contention of unseating sitting MPs (possibly ending up with 12 to 15 seats).
