Hello echidnas! My name is Kylie Sandilands – Kyle’s virtually identical twin sister. It is an honour and a privilege to be The Pub’s first official Guest Author, and to share with all you lovely Pubketeers a Very Special Event. Yes – it’s the Kirribilli House Easter Egg Hunt,

hosted by our wonderful Prime Minister, Ms Julia Gillard,

First Bloke Mr Tim Mathieson,

and Adorable Dog Reuben the Cavoodle.

Today I will be your very own Easter Bunny, and I have much pleasure in declaring the Easter Egg Hunt open. Here is your first clue:
Welcome to my Easter hunt
Now, first let’s go to something out front.
The clue is hiding in a spot
That grown-ups seem to check a lot,
Sometimes it’s full, sometimes it’s empty
You’ll often see here stamps aplenty.
Have a nice day – and would you like fries with that?
Thank you Fiona,
Cat, red and green it is, then we can share the rest. Except the orange one.
puffytmd,
Sharing is a Labor thing. 🙂
Have we seen this one? 😀
Clue the Fourth:
Look among the plants and flowers
That tend to grow with springtime showers
I am a place for dirt and seeds
And yes, a spot with occasional weeds.
Puffy,
Something like this?
billie, perhaps it’s because BB does such eggcellent work.
garden bed
Janice,
Yay!
Patricia,
This looks as though it might have escaped from Cottesloe:
Fiona,
Wow! An easter basket
I will see if I can get a photo of Mum’s egg because it is not on their site.
I thought you’d like the flowers …
… and this:
Puffy,
If you can get one, send it to me and I will post it for you.
Clue the Fifth,
Look where Tim might stash his tools,
A place where he sets “Men’s Shed” rules;
A hammer, nails, screwdriver and wrench
Are on this table that’s called a bench.
Very noice whimsical easter bonnet – lovely.
the shed
Billie,
Well done!
workshop. (No.1 son’s workshop is more like an indoor boneyard but no-one is allowed to tidy it up.)
The best Easter song ever written…
Thank you Fiona
Now I don’t have to be green with envy
Janice,
More whimsy for you:
Where would Tim stash his tool?
Rinse your mouth out with soap Fiona!
Billie,
Eggzactly 😉
Bushfire Bill,
Grrrrrrrrrr …
😈
Fiona,
Take a bow – you’re quick on the comeback!
Speaking of coal…
Based on an old TV ad for Hovis Brown Bread. Truly hilarious, I swear…
I can say this because my mother isn’t around, but this year she sent me an Easter eCard, and boy was it saccharine! Not her fault I guess, she probably didn’t have much of a choice from an American site, between overtly religious and mawkish. 😉
BB,
It’s hilarious and heart-wrenching at the same time.
BB,
Maybe you ought to distribute that in Western Sydney ?
Clue the Sixth,
When Reuben’s bowl is empty, you know what to do.
Get him some food and you’ll find the last clue.
Bushfire Bill,
Did you get a reasonable reply, or any reply at all for that matter, to your post to Mod Lib et al. over the road today?
In a can of dog food?
bb that is hilarious.
C@tmomma,
Getting warm.
A can of dog food? Dog food? Who is going to give that dear sweet furkid DOGFOOD?
The meat-tray with the best sirloin aged steak. Along with those wonderful treats, sheep brains.
Mother Hubbard’s Cupboard ? Poor Reuben.
In the same vein as Capstick but with an edge:
Dial-a-Pizza?
i just posted the link to the graph over there
i was amazed they had not seeen it,
paroti ask where the original was
and do you know one of the posters said on face book
now take a look and see who that was.
why didnt that poster place the link over there
ask yourself why
Paddy’s tucker is in the fridge
puffytmd,
Pal pizza? 🙂
i curried all the eggs
My dogs wouldn’t touch pal with an overgrown toenail. 😆
denese,
Start’s with a ‘b’?
denese
Curried chocolate eggs? Interesting.
I’d hate to think what goes in to pal.
So has ‘Authority-In-Waiting’ spent the weekend in Yass at Mudrock’s place?
The devil never sleeps
Puffy,
Right place and cut …
