Hello echidnas! My name is Kylie Sandilands – Kyle’s virtually identical twin sister. It is an honour and a privilege to be The Pub’s first official Guest Author, and to share with all you lovely Pubketeers a Very Special Event. Yes – it’s the Kirribilli House Easter Egg Hunt,

hosted by our wonderful Prime Minister, Ms Julia Gillard,

First Bloke Mr Tim Mathieson,

and Adorable Dog Reuben the Cavoodle.

Today I will be your very own Easter Bunny, and I have much pleasure in declaring the Easter Egg Hunt open. Here is your first clue:
Welcome to my Easter hunt
Now, first let’s go to something out front.
The clue is hiding in a spot
That grown-ups seem to check a lot,
Sometimes it’s full, sometimes it’s empty
You’ll often see here stamps aplenty.
Have a nice day – and would you like fries with that?
The letterbox??
Letter box. Next!
Happy Easter and eating lots of chocolate day, everyone!

Hopefully this is the beginning of Australia’s awakening on how damn good our economy is!
petulant paving!
Ms Sandilands is having the usual difficulty posting images, so she has asked me to help.

and TLBD:
That’s better 🙂
Clue No. 2:
I take care of things that are marred with dirt
Be they pants or socks or a favorite shirt.
Two of my cycles are rinse and spin
I freshen up all that I hold within.
Woohoo!! The dog and the duck get chocolate … yay!!
That’s where we used to hide them: in the Simpson!
Washing machine.
Down the PM’s bosoms. Definitely.
Ducky and Doggy,
Share nicely:
Next clue in 30 minutes approx (have to go out for a moment).
Yummy, yum, yum!
Bushfire Bill,
Naughty boys don’t get chocolate, but I wish this was more than virtual for you:
Faberge, I trow.
That’s not fair, why does BB get a Faberge egg?
I suppose you could use different types of eggs for Easter – ostrich, quail, duck and even lizard eggs … They are all edible.

Because BB is just FAB, and has the erge to look down the PM’s bosoms.
Billie,
Bushfire Bill gets Fabergé because he took the photograph at the top of the thread, and because he has been kind enough to hold my paw on numerous occasions
🙂

Gigilene,
Thank you! I think this one is my favourite (goes rather nicely with the Satsuma collection):
I got my Mum a gold plated egg xmas tree ornament from the Perth Mint.

And for the new baby, Easter cuteness.
And carob Easter eggs for Joe6p’s dogs …
The Sunrise clip about the economy is on youtube as well – http://youtu.be/_DO4EMxR87o.
Interesting blog post – Reading between the lines – http://the-billablog.blogspot.com.au/2013/03/reading-between-lines.html
“A leader of the opposition who is in a commanding position against a government in crisis doesn’t have to pull the “but my children like me,” trick. Yes, I’ve seen the polling too, but this can only make one wonder why the Abbott family, the Liberal party and News Ltd (oh, but I repeat myself) felt the need to do this if their position is so strong already.”
gigilene,
Thank you. 🙂
It’s a pity my house is such a hodge podge of styles. I don’t do a ‘consistent theme’ well. 🙂
Here’s one for you though 🙂
carved emu egg

Emu egg carver
How? Goose egg carving.
An Easter present for Bob Bushfire
Clue the Third:
Look where you’ll find some things to peruse
Could either be fun stuff or school tomes you use
Like supermarkets, it’s got plenty a shelf
And at Christmas perhaps a perching elf.
Would I were this lovely. 🙂
The bookcase!
bookshelf
I came across that elf thingy on a USA blog last xmas. I told them i thought it was the dumbest thing I had heard of in years. And that with everything else to do over xmas getting up early in the morning to move a damned elf about wasn’t going to be one of them.
C@tmomma and Puffy,
fionaj,
I’ll have the red and green ones if I may, after my beloved South Sydney Rabbitohs. Thank you. 🙂
I bags the orange one!
